When we started Vertra Elemental Resistance in 2004, we vowed to make a serious push and bring skincare awareness to the forefront of our market because until now, it has basically been a category that has been mostly taken for granted. Our Athletes that participate in outdoor ocean sports are amongst the most prolific candidates to suffer from sunburn, skin damage, photo-aging and unfortunately in many cases, skin cancer. SIMPLY PUT, quality suncare products for people like us are not an accessory, but a necessity!

Monyca Byrne Wickey




Monyca Byrne Wickey is from Hana, Maui and one of Hawaii's hottest female surfers ever!  Having grown up in such a beautiful place it really shows in her personality and zest for life!  Monyca has been with Vertra since the begining and we are so proud to have seen her grow from menehune days to the true Ambassador of the Aloha that she is!  Check out the trialer below for Nike 6.0's upcoming all girl surf film coming out Spring 2011. In this flick we will see Monyca ripping along with Carissa Moore, Coco Ho and Malia Manuel!  Can't wait to check this one out!!!
