The final day of the Air Tahiti VonZipper Trials were contested in pristine 3-5 foot surf where the Tahitian surfers took advantage of knowing the reef and waves at Teahupoo. In the end it was Tuamata Puhetini winning his first event over the powerhouse Tamaroa Macomb. Both surfers have now earned spots into the main event of the Billabong Pro Tahiti set to run between August 23 through September 3rd.
